Mr. Marshall, from Pearen Street, worked there, when we first moved to Mt. Dennis in 1967. At that time, there were so many friendly, but essential establishments. You really did not have to leave that part of Mt. Dennis, to get everything you needed.

This is the second location of English&Mould opened in ‘60. The first location was 2 blocks north at 1186 which opened from 1918 until 1959.

I, still have a lamp, my Mother, saved for and bought, at the hardware, over 40 years ago, plus it still works.

I have an English & Mould yard stick. They where on Weston just north of Eglinton. My father worked for the Heating and Air Conditioning division for over 25 years.

My Uncle, Royd Sneddon, worked for them in that store, then was sent to Kingston to set up a place there for them. He worked there until he retired.

I miss English & Mould Hardware. For a small hardware store they had everything. I miss their window display of Lionel trains at Christmas

English and Mould was our go to hardware store. We lived on Chryessa Ave and used to freeze the backyard in the winter. When I put the puck through the kitchen window, my Mom would make me remove the broken window and take it to English and Mould for glass replacement.

Right across from Locust St. where I grew up. Bought my first pots and pans there in 1972 and still have a couple of them. Mr. Mould built the house I lived in as well as several other houses in Mt. Dennis.
